Abstract:
Landscape on the Earth, formed and reshaped over millions of years, is a fascinating heritage of nature. While surficial agents, such as weathering and erosion, play a crucial role in its long-term evolution, it is also important to identify the significant contribution of endogenic processes, particularly tectonics, in the creation of diverse and remarkable landforms around the world. In this talk, the speaker will present an overview of the relationship between geological forces and the formation of various landforms by some spectacular examples worldwide.
